Can Paker
Can Paker, PhD, is Founder and Managing Partner of Golden Horn Ventures. Dr. Paker has over 31 years of experience as the CEO of Turk Henkel and had been the Chairman of the Board. During his tenure Dr Paker grew Turk Henkel’s revenues from Euro 3.5 million to Euro 600 million. Dr. Paker is a board member of several industry associations and corporations.
He is the Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee of TUSIAD (Turkish Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association). In addition, he is the Chairman of the Audit Committee in Sabanci Holding, one of Turkey’s biggest conglomerates with US$10.5 billion Sales, US$514 million net profit in 2005. Dr. Paker actively supports many institutions as a board member such as Open Society Institute, George Soros Foundation, Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation.
He is the Chairman of the board of TESEV (Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation) and Board of Trustees of Sabanci University. He is also a Special Ambassador of Turkey in EU matters.
